Welcome. I am an Assistant Professor at the Bloustein School at Rutgers University. I am also a senior advisor and the climate change adaptation project advisor for the Galápagos Education and Research Alliance (GERA).
I study the emergence and institutionalization of environmentally sustainable and socially progressive planning practices in cities, the politics of planning for water and sanitation services, and grassroots involvement in urban governance. My research and professional practice center on cities and metropolitan areas in the Global South. I have a regional focus on Latin America and have also worked in Southeast Asia. You can learn more about my research, teaching, and professional practice in the tabs above.
